This is a question I encounter often, and it’s important. Let’s begin with a key insight:
A diagnosis alone doesn’t reveal the full picture of what’s happening in the body.
Two people with the same diagnosis can have very different levels of damage to their organs and body systems. One may have mild damage; another may have multiple systems deeply affected. Knowing your full health status is essential before you begin any intervention.
Let me share my personal journey to illustrate this point.
My Story: The Journey to Better Health
In January 2023, my blood pressure was found to be dangerously high. I was placed on medication immediately. After several hospital tests, I was told that apart from damage to my blood vessels—resulting in chronic hypertension—I was otherwise fine.
The doctors explained that once blood vessels are damaged, they don’t regenerate. I was told I would need to be on BP-lowering medication for life.
- At one point, even with medication, my blood pressure wouldn’t go lower than 179/113, and sometimes shot up beyond 200/120, with my pulse hitting 147 bpm.
- More tests revealed additional damage: the left ventricle of my heart was affected, and my kidney function wasn’t optimal.
- I realized that while medications were helping manage symptoms, I needed a deeper, holistic approach to truly heal.

The Turning Point
I chose to get a full health assessment. The findings were sobering—many areas of my health needed attention. I embarked on a serious lifestyle overhaul and committed to the following:
✅ Consistent health assessments (at least twice a year)
✅ Targeted lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, hydration, sleep)
Over time, many areas improved. However, the blood vessels and heart issues remained stubborn.
Eventually, I was placed on a carefully selected combination of four dietary supplements, tailored physical exercises, proper hydration, and improved sleep. I maintained my BP medication regimen during this time.
After three months, a review showed a major breakthrough:
✔️ My blood vessels were now healthy
✔️ My left ventricle was back within a normal range
Today, I no longer take those supplements, but I maintain a healthy lifestyle and routine health checks. I still take a low-dose BP medication and travel with my BP monitor everywhere.
Lessons Learned
- A diagnosis is just the starting point—it doesn’t reveal all that’s going on in the body.
- Healing happens at different speeds. Some parts of the body—like the liver—can regenerate faster. Others, like the blood vessels in the brain and kidneys, require much more time and effort.
- You must take an active role in your healing. Relying solely on doctors or supplements isn’t enough. Healing requires informed action, discipline, and commitment.
Your health is your responsibility. Get the right information. Do the work. Stay committed.
Always assess your health as a whole—not just by the diagnosis.
